I podcast

Sound tells stories.
It builds tension, holds silence, reveals emotion.

I’ve written, produced and composed award-winning audio for broadcast and film — from intimate radio essays to large-scale sound design. My work lives somewhere between documentary and music, journalism and art.

Selected Work

Who Killed Bill?
Newstalk FM — PPI Radio Award Nominee
A true-crime documentary investigating one of Ireland’s most mysterious deaths. Produced, edited and scored for Newstalk FM — nominated for Best Documentary at the PPI Radio Awards.

Bones of Contention
RTÉ Lyric FM — IMRO Radio Award Nominee
A darkly playful radio docudrama about the life and legacy of Brian O’Nolan — the writer behind Flann O’Brien and Myles na gCopaleen. Featuring performances and reflections from Julian Gough, Pat McCabe, Ardal O’Hanlon and Tommy Tiernan, it reimagines the writer’s fractured genius through sound, satire and surrealism. Produced for RTÉ Lyric FM, the piece was nominated for an IMRO Radio Award for Best Documentary/Feature..

Last Thoughts
RTÉ Lyric FM — New York Festivals Radio Award Winner
A dramatic sound-essay on the life and music of Irish composer John Field — from his Dublin youth through triumphant tours to his Russian exile. Commissioned by RTÉ Lyric FM and produced by me, it mixes expert interviews, original performance and documentary drama to illuminate Field’s role as the “Father of the Nocturne”. Awarded at the New York Festivals Radio Awards for its craft and originality

Film Score

Charlie Casanova
Feature film directed by Terry McMahon.
I composed and performed the original score under my musical moniker The Spinning Boy — an unsettling blend of rhythm, tension and dissonance that mirrors the film’s fractured moral universe. Drawing on layered electronic textures and live performance, the soundtrack threads through the film like an unsteady conscience, blurring the line between sound and psychology.

Certified in Ableton Live at Virtu Studios Dublin

Trained in Pro Tools Post-Production at Berklee School of Music.

I make sound for stories — radio, film, podcast

I direct

I am a director and producer working across commercials, branded content, broadcast, short films, features, music videos, radio, and live performance. I take a brief, script, or concept and turn it into a clear visual story, guiding performers and crews from development through post-production.

My work has been recognized by Student BAFTAs, New York Festivals, Promax, MTV European Eye, the FujiFilm International Filmscript Award, Los Angeles Film Awards, and the Kerry Film Festival.

Blood Coloured Moon
A FilmBase/RTÉ Award-winning short film. I directed the film, which was selected for the award by director Lenny Abrahamson and edited by Nathan Nugent.

Broadcast Idents
A selection of station idents produced and directed for TV3 in Ireland. My broadcast work includes promos and campaigns for RTÉ, Virgin Media, Channel 6, Headlines Today, Aaj Tak, and Fremantle.

Feature Film
A horror feature that I wrote and directed, shot on 35mm in Thailand and Los Angeles. It received theatrical releases in three territories and a global DVD release.

Television Commercial
A commercial I directed for a leading Indian media company. I developed and produced a wide range of broadcast and promotional work for its television, print, magazine, and digital platforms

Here’s a supercut of my screen adaptation of ‘Double Transformation’, a poem by Oliver Goldsmith. I’ve directed numerous short films around the world, and I have received various awards for them, including FujiFilm International Filmscript Award, MTV European Eye, Los Angeles Film Awards, and Kerry Film Festival Best Experimental Film Award.

I produce

I produce short and long-form work for broadcast, streaming, advertising, corporate communications, cultural organisations and non-profits.

From initial brief to final delivery, I bring together the right people, plan the practical work, manage moving parts and keep production focused on audience, platform and purpose.

These short artist biographies were produced in Los Angeles for an international audio-technology company. They required a sensitive, people-centred approach, alongside practical production planning around locations, contributors and small crews.

Los Angeles Artist Biographies
Producer — Short-form artist-profile series for Mimi Technologies.

I produce branded content, entertainment promotion, factual storytelling, animation, corporate communications, social/video assets and narrative audio. The process changes from project to project, but the objective remains the same: identify the strongest idea, find the most effective way to make it, and deliver work that audiences will want to watch or hear.

I have produced internationally in Europe and Asia, and have been working from Los Angeles for several years. I am comfortable with the practical realities that can make or break a production: locations, permits, insurance, releases, crews, equipment, schedules, vendors, parking and community liaison.

For a Norwegian software company, I produced animation-led communications that turned a complex product message into clear, accessible and engaging content.

Software Animation Series
Producer — Animated corporate-communications series for Leadership Compass.

I also produce narrative audio—including radio features, documentary and podcast-led work—bringing the same attention to story, collaborators, audience and delivery that I bring to screen work.

Whether the project is a focused brand film, a factual profile, an animation series, a narrative audio production or a feature drama on the streets of Los Angeles, I make creative work practical, collaborative and deliverable.

Feature Drama, Los Angeles
Co-Producer — Independent narrative feature produced on location in Los Angeles and Bangkok.

Alongside longer-form productions, I also produce concise, platform-native social advertising—bringing the same discipline in creative development, production planning, collaboration and delivery to campaigns designed for mobile-first audiences.

Short Form Social Ads
Co-Producer — created for mobile and social platforms, Los Angeles.

I shoot

I am a Los Angeles-based self-shooting director working across branded content, social advertising, broadcast, factual, corporate and cultural projects.

I shoot and direct efficient, story-led work with a small footprint when a project needs speed, flexibility and a strong creative eye. I am experienced with RED, Canon cinema cameras, HD formats and DSLRs and comfortable working from pre-production through shoot and into post-production.

For Primal Wine, a Los Angeles natural, organic and biodynamic wine company, I created a series of short, visually distinctive social ads designed for fast, mobile-first viewing.

Self-Shooting Director — Short-form social advertising campaign, Los Angeles.

I bring broadcast-level production discipline to smaller-scale shoots: finding the visual hook, working efficiently with talent and locations, capturing the material needed for multiple formats, and creating content that remains clear and engaging without requiring a large crew or budget.

For Volta, I worked on a short-form social advertising project designed to communicate a brand message quickly and visually.

My work includes feature and short drama, broadcast television, interviews, documentaries, corporate communications and films for non-profit organisations. I adapt the approach to the scale of the job—whether that means directing a staged scene, working one-to-one with a contributor, or capturing fast-turnaround material for a campaign.

Here I am shooting an interview with Chuck D of Public Enemy for a feature documentary on the history of rap.

I shoot with a filmmaker’s sense of story and a producer’s awareness of time, budget and deliverables—creating strong footage that can work across social, web, broadcast and campaign environments.

I edit

As a senior video editor, I have worked across broadcast, streaming, advertising, social, music, and branded content. I shape stories from raw footage, interviews, scripts, and campaign assets, then handle editing, color, sound, motion graphics, versioning, and final delivery.

I work in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Avid Media Composer, Photoshop, Pro Tools, Logic Pro, and Audition. I like finding the hook, clarifying the story, and making work that feels polished, current, and worth watching.

I have written, produced, and edited television promos for broadcasters in Ireland, India, and the United States, including RTÉ, Virgin Media, Channel 6, Headlines Today, Aaj Tak, and Fremantle. Here is a selection of promos created for Channel 6 in Ireland

At TubeScience, I edited high-volume performance ads for TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and other social platforms. I handled the edit, color correction, and motion graphics, often delivering around 12 videos a week. Here are three examples, with original music composed for this reel

I also make time for nonprofit work with a strong human story. This film focuses on older people in Ireland. I shot and edited it, and composed the original music.

I have edited music videos for a range of artists. This is “Phantom Limb” by Les Keyes, directed by Aiden Grennell.

This independent feature is currently in post-production. I shot and edited the film, and composed the original music.

In addition to the certifications below, I have a Postgraduate Certificate in AR/VR
Training in Blender, Unity, immersive design, and 3D-production workflows.

I write

I am a story maker. The medium doesn’t matter to me. Stage, screen, radio, print or immersive media, it’s all the same; my goal is to take the audience on a compelling journey.

I am particularly fascinated by history, art and culture. I love to explore these areas in my writing, using the elements of humor and drama, in order to educate, provoke and entertain.

From writing feature films in Hollywood to commercials in India, I’ve pretty much done it all (and practically everywhere). So, regardless of the context, if you need a good story well told, I’m your man.
